Teens Level 2

Volleyball Classes for teenagers at Astoria and Long Island City. Level 2 is for players that have achieved better ball control and know the basics of how to pass, set, spike and serve. 

Basic skills to achieve this level: 1) great communication skills. 2) really good foot work (capacity to move after the ball). 3) understand and perform well all basic techniques.

It is very important the player repeats the drills learned in class at least 2-3x a week on their own or attend other classes with us.

Minimal age is 11 years old for outdoor programs or programs at Astoria. Minimal age is 13 years old for indoor programs at Long Island City. Every participant should have their own volleyball and bring it to every practice.

MONDAYS 7:30pm to 8:50pm at ASTORIA at Q501 Frank Sinatra School. Remaining days: 11/24, 12/1, 12/8, 12/15, and 12/14 (this last day we will have a mini-tournament from 2:30pm to 3:50pm). SOLD OUT.

SUNDAYS 2:30pm to 3:50pm at ASTORIA at Q501 Frank Sinatra School. Days: 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23, 12/1, 12/7, 12/14 (this last day we will have a mini-tournament from 2:30pm to 3:50pm). Fee is $280 and includes seven sessions. GROUP IS FULL!

THURSDAYS 7:15pm to 8:45pm at LONG ISLAND CITY at Q301 Academy for Careers in Television. Days: 1/8, 1/15, 1/22, 1/29, 2/5, 2/8 (Sunday - mini tournament 12pm to 1:30pm at Q501 Frank Sinatra School at Astoria), Days: 11/6, 11/13, 11/20, 12/4, 12/11, 12/18 and 12/14 (this day will be a Sunday when we will have a mini tournament at Q501 Frank Sinatra School at Astoria from 2:30-4pm). GROUP IS FULL!

All players that were registered for level 2 during the September/October cycle competed at mini tournaments.

We had medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, and also the Most Valuable Player trophy.

We adapted the games so players would have the chance to experience rallies and understand the importance of hard work to achieve good performance at sports.
