Teens Level 1

Volleyball Classes for teenagers at Astoria and Long Island City. Level 1 classes focus on learning volleyball from the fundamentals. We go over every technique to teach your teenager how to do it, and make you repeat it over and over. We also implement drills that help with foot work and communication, basic skills to play volleyball.

At this level is very important the teen player repeats the drills learned in class at least 2-3x a week on their own or attend more volleyball classes with us. Every participant should have their own volleyball and bring it to every practice.

Minimal age is 11 years old for Astoria programs, and 12 years old for Long Island City programs.

NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER: Sessions at Astoria on Mondays 6:15pm to 7:30pm at Q501 Frank Sinatra School. Remaining days: 11/17, 11/24, 12/1, 12/8, 12/15, and 12/14 (this will be a Sunday when we will have a mini tournament from 1pm to 2:30pm at Q501 Frank Sinatra School at Astoria). NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER: Sessions at Astoria on Sundays 1:15pm to 2:30pm at Q501 Frank Sinatra School. Days: 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23, 12/1, 12/7, 12/14 (this last day we will have a mini-tournament from 1pm to 2:30pm). GROUP IS FULL.

NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER - Sessions at Long Island City on Thursdays from 7:15pm to 8:45pm at Q301 Academy for Careers in Television. Days: 11/6, 11/13, 11/20, 12/4, 12/11, 12/18 and 12/14 (this day will be a Sunday when we will have a mini tournament at Q501 Frank Sinatra School at Astoria from 2:30-4pm). GROUP IS FULL!

All players that were registered for level 1 during the September/October cycle competed at mini tournaments.

We had medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, and also the Most Valuable Player trophy.

We adapted the games so players would have the chance to experience rallies and understand the importance of hard work to achieve good performance at sports.
